I’m blogging in a bar. I’m not saying this to brag or anything, I’m just basking in my glory of abusing the fact that I haven’t been delayed by the mass failure of Australia’s public transport system, and yet I’m having lunch at the Lion Head pub in Central blogging while downing a pint of Guinness. The things that I do to spoil myself sometimes.
I’ve realised that I haven’t been happy lately. At all. Not because something’s happened and I’m upset about it, it’s more of the fact that I get out of bed cranky, just losing the motivation and focus to face today. I’ve decided to put down one thing that’s made my day yesterday, so that when I read it in the morning the next day, I realise that life just isn’t that bad after all.
Yesterday I was on the way back from uni, and I passed a woman walking 2 dogs. Initially I was in quite a rush to get home, so I didn’t take particular notice (people walking dogs along Princes Park at 5 p.m. isn’t really an uncommon thing, really). I did, however notice the stern look on her face, as most dog-walkers usually have around this area. As soon as I passed her, both dogs sidetracked to greet me (they weren’t leashed) and obviously, the woman recalled them. I saw a smile coming from her, and that really made my day better, considering all that happened that day.
