Vril

Blatherskite----> A guy who talks nonsense. Which is what I've been.

Right. I'm leaving on Friday and my flight's at 0955 hours. This means that I'll be leaving for the airport around 7.

Wow. This Friday.

For the last few weeks everyone else except me has been counting the days til' I leave. Or my family at least. It was so hyped up that one day one of my relatives that I met asked me "How many days until you're leaving?" And I had to reply " You mean you're not counting?"

Yeah I'm that full of myself.

Leaving for Australia means preparing for the trip. I can't remember the last time I packed my bags to going somewhere. I can't remember the last time I made a list of what to bring either. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time I made a list. Haha.

Leaving for Australia also means preparing for jetlag. I bet my folks would laugh this off, but I'm not taking any chances with my biological clock, hence the advice from eHow.com:
HOW TO RECOVER FROM JETLAG

Instructions

  • STEP 1: Drink plenty of water as you travel to your destination and after you arrive. If you are dehydrated, it will take you longer to adapt to the new time zone.
  • STEP 2: Sleep on the plane to be alert and awake if you will be arriving in the morning or early afternoon. Stay awake on the plane to be sleepy upon arrival if you'll reach your destination in the evening or at night.
  • STEP 3: If you arrive at your final destination in the morning, try to stay awake all day. Drink small amounts of coffee, tea or caffeinated soda to wake you up (too much caffeine will further disrupt your sleep cycle). Keep napping to a minimum.
  • STEP 4: If you arrive in the evening, go to sleep at your normal bedtime according to the new time zone. That is, if your bedtime at home is 11 p.m., go to bed at that time in your new location. You may want to ask your doctor to recommend an over-the-counter sleeping aid.
  • STEP 5: If your trip is shorter than 48 hours, schedule meetings according to your home time zone. If the new time zone is 3 hours ahead of your normal time, schedule late morning or afternoon meetings when you will be awake and alert. For example, a 1 p.m. meeting is at 10 a.m. according to your internal clock.
  • STEP 6: Expose yourself to bright light and exercise in the morning in the new time zone. This helps reset your internal clock.
  • STEP 7: Eat small meals throughout the day while you adjust to the new mealtimes. Keep a snack by your bed if your regular dinnertime occurs in the middle of the night in the new time zone.
  • STEP 8: Give your body time to make the switch. If you feel very drowsy during the day, take a nap for up to one hour, but make sure it's before evening. Avoid pushing yourself too hard during the first few days.
Water. Check. Sleeping according to the new time zone. Hmmmmm. That means if I sleep at 11 over there, I'll have to sleep at 8 here, and if I wanna wake up at 8 over there, I should wake up at 5!!!! Nice. Better get practicing.

Eat small meals. Better work on that too. I've been eating Kolo Mee like mad for the last few days.

Great!! That leaves.. Doing everything I wanna do in Malaysia before going off. Should've made a list, dammit.

Well I have done that, sorta. By mood and intuition. I have done...

Baseball,
eaten 2 plates of LARGE Kolo Mee,
played mahjong like nuts for a day,
played football everyday (9 days in a row and still going),
driving a sports car at 180,
learn Yoga (a little bit la)
sing my heart out at a karaoke with my family,
went out with all my friends,
entered a sports competition,

so that leaves... EATING A TUB OF CHOC PEPPERMINT ICECREAM. If only.

After fulfilling the last wish, the extra few pounds that I would gain wouldn't help me much on Wednesday, which is Valentines. This the first time since primary school I don't have someone in mind to ask out of even think about to celebrate about. Weird.

This might rest my worries.

Vitamin V.

Realistically, these two would be my Valentine this year:

Zo & Co.

See you guys in Melbourne. =)
