Sometimes, you just have to remember to do the Barney thing: just stop feeling sad for yourself, and just get up and be awesome instead.
The past few weeks have been, up and down really. I know that there’s a huge gap between now and I-don’t-know-how-long ago, but I’m just gonna pick it up from here anyway.
Summary of the 2009-2010 “season”: less than satisfactory. i really need to start devising a system that defines my lifestyle. I’ve been wayyyyyy to self-indulgent on most things, whether it’s to do with play, or dieting, or exercising, or relationships, I really need to step it up this year. I’m just grateful that I’ve been given a soft awakening as to how important this year is for me, as well as the people around me.
If this is what a bird’s eye view of the world is like, I’d rather be below, frankly, knowing that it’s clear skies beyond the clouds that we see from below.
Gorillaz have been flavour of the week, it’s just something that has helped me from thinking of things that pinch. Trip hop really has helped me through the painful times, whether at the right time or not (courtesy of my irritating iPod, of course).
Recently I have had the temptation to tell people around me, especially those younger “How I wish that I was in first year again”, I finally truly understand the meaning of that phrase. 4th year has been such a joy, but it really takes a lot out of you, especially when you let things slip through your fingers for a week or two, the effects are really detrimental. Hence the first quote that I really appreciate:
“Suffer the pain of discipline, or suffer the pain of regret” – Courage Wolf
Screw who said it, Courage Wolf says it better.
I have promised myself to write more. Now that I have more time alone, I should, finally, pay attention to myself and what I want. About time I hit the ground running. Perhaps at the end of each week, I set new goals for the coming week, and I make it a point to evaluate them based on what I’ve done over the week. Let’s give it a shot.

- No sleeping later than 2

- Maintain apt conditions
- Run errands
- Catch up with a friend?
